Since 1979, the National Neighborhood Coalition has served as a supporter and advocate for grassroots neighborhood organizations both urban and rural. As such, it has also been at the forefront of the smart-growth movement. On this section of NNC's Web site, find out why. Get basic information on smart-growth principles and their link to pressing community issues such as creating more affordable housing, maintaining sustainable transportation systems, and preserving parks and open spaces in urban areas. The site features PDF downloads of NNC's latest reports and research.
