MOUNTAIN VIEW and SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- Eight utilities in the U.S., Canada and India are teaming up with Google in smart meter projects that will enable customers to monitor their energy use online and better manage their power consumption, the Internet giant announced.
Healthcare executives deem energy efficiency a higher priority than do their counterparts in other industries, according to findings released July 21 of a new study commissioned by the American Society for Healthcare Engineering (ASHE) and Johnson Controls.
The research, conducted in March, involved a survey of 335 energy decision-makers in the healthcare industry. The results were reviewed alongside those of a parallel, multi-industry study called the Johnson Controls Energy Efficiency Indicator, which surveyed 1,150 executives in North American in partnership with the International Facility Management Association (IFMA).
