This report discusses why buildings traditionally waste energy and how buildings can be reformed to be more energy efficient. It discusses perceived and real barriers to "green" buildings; benefits of energy-efficient buildings supercede simple economics. The report then lays out how to make renewables and sustainable energy common practices in the building field, with action steps and further resources. The report is an effort of the Center for Renewable Energy and Sustainable Technology with the American Council for an Energy-Efficient Economy.
