San Francisco Bay Plan
Published January 1, 2008
This site provides an attractive, easy-to-navigate copy of the San Francisco Bay Plan for protection and development of the San Francisco Bay, which informed the McAteer-Petrus Act of 1969. This site is not a source for hands-on resources, but it does offer a thorough history of the development of the San Francisco Bay as a port and California's plans for bringing in water-related industry, as well as establishing wildlife refuges and building parks. A section on recent amendments to the McAteer-Petrus Act makes this site relevant and up-to-date.
